JMist aka Jayan Mistry is no stranger to music in all of it’s weird and wonderful forms. From starting off being trained in classical percussion to making tracks on a 4-track sequencer, JMist has fed his hunger for making music for over several years.
Meeting Bobby Friction & Nihal sparked a keen interest in radio. He religiously tuned into his favorite radio shows like In New DJs We Trust with Nerm & D-Code, which sparked a taste for pushing music aswell as making it.
Whether it be music production, live performances, collaborations or running music workshops, Jay is committed to pushing the boundaries of music from all angles.
Having remixed for D-Code’s band Driving Lolita, worked with The Asian Dub Foundation, he’s pushing forward towards a debut release.
Jay’s currently developing The Mistry Mix Productions with it’s in-house midweek slot a Camden’s Roundhouse Radio. The Mistry Mix features alternative music with mixes, interviews and releases.
